When it comes to fantastic, stylish staircase design, stainless steel stairs really make a statement! A stainless steel staircase combines brilliant aesthetics and functionality for the ultimate contemporary look in any residential, corporate or municipal setting.
Once a material synonymous with industrial applications, the appeal of stainless steel stairs is broadening, thanks to the numerous benefits that stainless steel offers.
At Paige Stainless, we produce premium quality, custom fabricated stainless steel stairs suitable for a range of applications.
We have manufactured stainless steel stairs for a wide array of industries and projects, for both indoor and outdoor uses. Here is just a small sample of where our stainless steel stairs can be used:
Stainless steel has become a popular material for stair case construction thanks to the following benefits.
Durability
Stainless steel is a versatile and resilient material for stair case construction. It is resistant to corrosion and unlike timber, it is impervious to rot and pests. This makes stainless steel the perfect medium for indoor and outdoor staircases alike. Using stainless steel for a staircase will guarantee you one of the strongest and most durable staircase solutions.
Safety
Stainless Steel grate steps are the perfect choice for a safe staircase – there is a good reason that stainless is is frequently used for industrial stair treads.
Firstly, our steel stair treads are constructed of our stainless steel grating. This provide a well drained tread surface in outdoor locations, or wet indoor spaces. Small debris is also able to pass through. Furthermore, our non slip metal stair treads is safe for heels. Lastly, stainless steel stair treads and railings are easy to clean, thus ensuring a hygienic surface. This is is particularly important in food, beverage and pharmaceutical facilities, as well as hospitals and other such buildings where hygiene is vital or large volumes of people frequent (in shopping centres or transit centres, for example.)
Aesthetically pleasing
Stainless Steel stairs are desired in many new builds thanks to their clean and modern look. The industrial appeal to stainless steel stairs make them a sophisticated finish to modern residential and corporate architecture.
Fully customisable
Our stainless steel stairs are bespoke and are built to your specifications. No matter what your needs are, or the look and feel you’re trying to achieve, a stainless steel staircase can be designed for it.
Cost-effective
You can’t get more economical than going with a stainless steel staircase when compared to other materials. Considering all the benefits it comes with, stainless steel stairs are generally inexpensive: they are tough and will last decades.
Additionally, because they are so easy to construct, stainless steel stairs tend to cost less in assembly labour fees.
At Paige Stainless we do not use just “any old stainless steel”, but rather premium quality 304 and 316 grade stainless steel. We manufacture in Australia, to Australian standards.
Inject some style into your home that is both unique and practical with stainless steel stairs!
At Paige Stainless we are able to provide you with all stainless steel staircase components, including the following:
Stainless Steel Steps
Our stainless stair treads are constructed out of our premium stainless steel Heelguard grating for an industrial grade, non-skid step solution.
(I) Stainless steel stair treads and risers are the two sections that make up the essential steps. The metal stairs treads are the horizontal sections that are stepped on, while the riser are the vertical panels that connect them. This said, it is not uncommon to see steel stairs without risers.
Stainless Steel Stair Stringers
(I) Steel stair stringers run along both sides of the staircase. The stringers, or stringer boards, support the treads and risers on each step.
Stainless Steel Handrails and Balustrades
We can customize stainless steel stair railings and balustrades (stanchions) to the needs of your project.
(I) A banister is a handrail that runs along the staircase. There can be one on either side, one on a single side, or even none at all. Balustrades are the uprights that support them.
Stainless Steel Spiral Stair Winders
If you are in the market for a winding staircase, as far as longevity, safety and aesthetic impact goes, you cannot go past stainless steel spiral stairs! We can manufacture a bespoke solution for you.
(I) Spiral staircases feature winders, steps that are narrower on one side than the other. A series of winders are what create that spiral movement. Some staircases may use only three winders in a corner to create a 90-degree turn.
